As humans, we are made of 80% water. All life on earth needs water, basic, clean water to live.
Our population and demand for water is out pacing the supply. On Earth we have been given a finite supply and must manage our water wisely. Earth will not get anymore water than what we presently have yet our population will double by the year 2029.
Consider the facts:
• 80% of the world is covered by water
• Less than 1% is available to us as fresh, useable water. The rest is unavailable due to salt content, pollution, or trapped in glaciers.
Water shortages are a world wide concern. In Texas, from El Paso to Houston, from the Valley to the Panhandle, we’re running out of water. Major government agencies like the EPA, TEQC and the GCSD are now involved in regulating water use and quality.
All this has major impact for our industry because horticulture consumes vast quantities of water (70% of residential summer water use is plant irrigation, a single golf course can consume 250 million gallons a year).
The problem is solvable. We must manage our world better. By going organic and using products like MicroLife, Humates and Soil Moist we dramatically increase water conservation and improve water quality. All of which makes for a better life.
